Key Responsibilities: Lead the People function with strategic and operational oversight of the whole employee lifecycle. This will include: Manage delivery of recruitment, on/offboarding, training and development, talent and succession planning, performance assessment and performance management processes Manage internal staff communications, measuring and monitoring staff engagement and needs and taking action to pre-empt and address issues as they arise. Support and advise line managers as required Consult on and verify any changes to job description or employment terms. Benchmark and review reward and renumeration package Ensure all policies, procedures, and people related processes work effectively and in line with legal requirements. Handle all people matters, including any employee relations issues, with empathy and discretion ensuring a fair and consistent approach Lead Safeguarding and Health and Safety compliance, working with expert third parties to ensure we excel in these areas Identify best practices and implement new approaches as required Regularly attend Senior Leadership Team meetings. Be a key member of HOST (Heads of Strategic Teams) and the Core Engine Room Team. Attend and contribute to international leadership meetings. Collaborate with senior leadership, building high trust partnerships to shape and influence culture as well as short and mid-term organisational goals. Enable the team to develop the skills and characteristics needed for the future by implementing the appropriate development plan. Become a trusted voice within the cultural development of the global movement, building relationship with key leaders and supporting creation of a regionalised structure. Pioneer development of a more globally diverse team and accelerate volunteering within the international team. Shape training and development across the global movement including Leadership Pathway, 24-7 Academy and creation of development paths for future senior leaders. Manage budgets effectively. This role will report to the Director of Operations and line manage our HR Officer.
