We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to join Bromley in the Adults and Communities department, working to assess the risks and needs of adult service users and effectively promote independence and self sufficiency. We are looking for someone to participate in the operation of duty and respond accordingly to need, which will involve Safeguarding enquiries and Best Interest Assessment (BIA) when required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Conducting assessments and promoting/supporting self assessments to establish care plans
2. To safeguard adults and carers at risk of harm
3. Undertake and review outcomes-led care and support
4. Conduct Mental Capacity assessments
5. Maintain a thorough understanding of available local provision and make appropriate recommendations and action referrals to other specialist teams and providers.
6. Identify where care technology will be useful
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
7. Social Work qualification
8. Social Work England registration
9. Best Interests Advisor experience/qualification is desirable
