Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Office & Compliance Manager to oversee office operations and regulatory compliance within a regulated recycling, manufacturing and environmental business.
This is not a generic office management role. The successful candidate must have experience within recycling, waste management, environmental services, manufacturing, stock control or another regulated industrial sector.
This position carries full-time equivalent responsibility (equivalent of £44,850 FTE) and is offered on a part-time basis (25–30 hours per week). The role is central to ensuring that compliance systems, office processes, and documentation accurately reflect operational activity on site.
Duties
Manage day-to-day office operations and ensure efficient, structured workflows
Line-manage finance and administrative staff
Own ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 administration and maintain audit readiness
Ensure environmental and compliance documentation is accurate, current, and aligned with operational activity
Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure compliance processes reflect site operations
Act as the first escalation point for office and compliance matters
Oversee finance outputs and credit control performance (not direct bookkeeping responsibility)
Identify and improve office systems and internal processes
Ensure regulatory documentation and records are maintained to required standards
Qualifications
Previous experience within recycling, waste management, environmental services, manufacturing, or another regulated industrial sector (essential)
Practical understanding of operational compliance in a regulated environment
Experience supporting ISO systems (9001 / 14001 / 45001 desirable)
Experience managing or supervising staff
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Confident communicator able to work across office and operational teams
Ability to hold standards and maintain accountability
Professional, calm, and solution-focused approach

No recurring compliance or operational issues escalated to Director
Weekly finance and debtor reviews completed
Office tasks delivered accurately and on time

Pay: £23.00 per hour
