At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

The Role:
Working part of our night shift team you will carry out maintenance activities to laid down standards and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
4. Carry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards
5. Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures
6. Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction
7. Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work
8. Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised
9. Undertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments under the guidance of the Service Delivery Leader, taking remedial action where necessary
10. Use of all PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions
11. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
What You Bring:
12. Qualifications – minimum level 3 qualification in Engineering
13. Experience – previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities
14. Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings both mechanical and electrical engineering
15. Safety – strong understanding of applicable health, safety and environmental standards and requirements.
