Purchase Ledger Clerk - Solihull (Temp to Perm) This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing logistics business based in Solihull, offering an immediate start within a fast-paced and supportive finance team. Initially brought in to support during a period of maternity leave, this role has clear long-term potential, with the business anticipating growth and looking to make the position permanent within the next 6 months. We're looking for someone who enjoys the detail of accounts payable and takes real pride in their work. If you've built solid experience in purchase ledger and are now looking for a role where you can develop, gain responsibility, and become a key part of the team, this could be a brilliant next step.What you will be doing
* Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
* Managing and resolving invoice and payment queries in a timely manner
* Acting as a key checkpoint before payment runs, ensuring accuracy across the ledger
* Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Supporting the wider finance team with accounts payable processes
* Ensuring all records are kept up to date and compliant
* Assisting with payment runs and preparing data for approval
* Identifying and flagging any discrepancies or process improvements
What we need from you
* Previous experience within a purchase ledger / accounts payable role
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* A proactive and reliable approach to your workload
* Confident communicator who can handle queries effectively
* Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys ownership of tasks
* Ambition to grow and develop within accounts payable
