Head of Inclusion
We are recruiting a Pastoral Manager to lead SEND, inclusion, behaviour, pastoral systems, and learner support across a specialist education group.
This is a practical leadership role for someone who can turn EHCPs, behaviour plans, safeguarding‑aware practice, and intervention strategies into clear systems that support both pupils and staff day to day.
The role will involve:
* Leading inclusion strategy, SEND provision, behaviour support, and pastoral systems
* Supporting EHCP implementation, annual reviews, provision mapping, and progress tracking
* Coaching teachers and support staff on trauma‑informed practice, autism, SEMH, and classroom inclusion
* Working closely with DSLs, school leaders, parents, carers, local authorities, and external professionals
* Using data to identify barriers to attendance, regulation, learning, and engagement
* Supporting policy, compliance, quality assurance, and multi‑site consistency
We are looking for someone with experience as a:
* SENDCo
* AP / SEMH / specialist education leader
Strong experience with SEND, SEMH, autism, EHCPs, annual reviews, safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and parent / carer communication is essential.
Highly desirable:
* QTS and NASENCo / NPQ SENDCo, or willingness to complete
* DSL or Deputy DSL experience
* Multi‑site, MAT, AP, or independent specialist school experience
* Experience improving behaviour, attendance, EHCP quality, or intervention tracking
This role would suit a calm, credible inclusion leader who can influence staff and senior leaders without creating blame or unnecessary bureaucracy.
