Mechanical Fitter
We have a brilliant opportunity to join a hugely successful company based in Selby. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to maintain equipment on site to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Key requirements: Time served apprenticeship C&G Level 3 or equivalent Good working knowledge of pumps diaphragm, mono, mag drive Good working knowledge of steam boiler and equipment Good knowledge of pneumatics Excellent team player and ability to work on own initiative Confined space trained, training will be given if not trained IPAF Knowledge of CMMS systems Computer literate Key Accountabilities: Performance and Compliance Monitoring Complete all routine checks following the preventative maintenance schedules. Follow the procedures in the management system to ensure compliance with all standards for the Selby site. Work with the Boiler on site to complete the daily and weekly checks. Identify & report on areas of improvement and all safety related issues including near miss and incidents. Work on breakdowns within the permit to work system. Risk Assessment & Permit to Work Ensure activity is completed in line with all risk assessments and safe systems of work. Complete all duties as Permit Acceptor on site within the Permit to Work system. Inspection and Maintenance Management Follow the preventative maintenance program for the site. Follow a rigorous inspection program for all equipment on site. Implement the Management of Change process for any change or modification to the site or process. Comply with site procedures during inspections and maintenance, including those for Working at Height. Emergency Preparedness Response Follow all instructions given to them from the site incident controller or the site main controller. Assist with communication on site as requested by the site incident controller or the site main controller. The team works 7am - 4pm The company is offering a salary of £18.35 per hour and benefits include a BUPA package and 25 days holiday each year.
