As a Catering Assistant with ISS UK, you will assist the team with food presentation and service in a busy staff restaurant.
The role includes regular interaction with both customers and staff. Duties involve a wide range of preparation and service tasks, such as clearing tables, loading and unloading dishwashers, cleaning, and other general responsibilities to support the smooth running of the restaurant.
The Role
1. To assist, as directed, with all aspects of food service preparation and presentation
2. To serve customers in an appropriate and professional manner
3. To lead and provide food and beverages at service counters, ensuring sufficient supplies are maintained throughout service periods
4. To handle transactions at cash desks, ensure current prices are charged, and reconcile cash takings where appropriate
5. To ensure meals and services comply with agreed budgetary standards and cost controls
6. To ensure restaurant tables and service areas are kept clean and adequately stocked during service times, and replenished as required
7. To maintain a clean and tidy immediate working area at all times
8. To undertake all aspects of cleaning, including equipment, walls, fixtures and fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, and other relevant items
About You
9. Enthusiastic approach to work
10. Catering experience is preferred - but a positive, can-do attitude is essential
11. Good understanding of the principals of food hygiene
12. Must be reliable and well presented
13. Comfortable in a customer-facing role
14. A determined team player who works well with others
