Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting site personnel to and from designated locations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of workers throughout the day. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. The ideal applicant will have prior driving experience, preferably in a construction or site-based environment, and possess basic mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle upkeep.
Duties
* Safely operate a company minibus to transport construction personnel to, from, and around site locations.
* Plan and follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival and departure of workers.
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checks on fuel, oil, tyres, brakes, and lights, reporting any defects promptly.
* Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle at all times.
* Ensure all passengers adhere to site safety requirements, including the use of seatbelts and appropriate PPE where required.
* Communicate effectively with site management regarding transport schedules, delays, or operational issues.
* Keep accurate records of journeys, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
* Comply fully with road traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a driver, preferably with commercial driving credentials.
* Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Valid driving licence suitable for the type of vehicle operated, including a category D1 license.
* Ability to manage time effectively and work independently under minimal supervision.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning.
