About the Role: Deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of physical, human, and environmental geography topics. Develop and implement effective lesson plans that incorporate fieldwork, map skills, data analysis, and discussions of contemporary geographical issues, encouraging critical thinking and a sense of global responsibility. Assess student progress through fieldwork reports, presentations, and assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance their geographical understanding. Contribute to the development of the geography curriculum within the framework of the school's Catholic ethos and participate in departmental initiatives. Potentially organize and lead fieldwork opportunities to relevant locations. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography. A strong understanding of the secondary geography curriculum and effective teaching methodologies, including fieldwork. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate female students in the study of geography. Proficiency in using geographical software and resources is desirable. A passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering an understanding of the world and its people within a Catholic ethical framework.
