Known for their innovation and excellence within the industry, this company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to support their finance team. This is a permanent opportunity, ideal for someone looking to make an immediate impact and grow within a dynamic business. Your new role As a Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in managing the company’s receivables and ensuring the prompt collection of outstanding payments. You will be responsible for raising and issuing customer invoices in a timely manner, monitoring customer accounts to identify overdue balances, and reconciling incoming payments with corresponding invoices. You’ll maintain and update the accounts receivable ledger, handle customer queries, and resolve any payment discrepancies. Additionally, you will prepare monthly debtor reports and account statements, support credit control procedures such as issuing reminders and final notices, and assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes. Ensuring adherence to internal controls and financial compliance policies will also be a key part of your role. What you'll need to succeed To thrive in this role, you’ll need the following qualities: Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Excel Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities Experience with SAP is desirable but not essential Knowledge of UK VAT rules and general accounting principles What you'll get in return You will receive a competitive salary of £30,000-£35,000 along with the opportunity to join a leading name in the manufacturing industry.
