Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Section Engineer to support the Design Engineering team in delivering projects related to our Lower Thames Crossing project.
What you'll be doing
* Carry out complex setting out
* Coaches subordinates in the use of setting out techniques
* Actively uses the Specification as a reference document
* Identifies, raises, and actions Non‑Conformance Reports
* Identifies and raises Technical Queries with possible solutions
* Produces Method Statements and Risk Assessments
* Produces a weekly programme and measures progress against KPI's
Requirements
* Able to carry out complex setting out
* Understands and has experience of producing ACP
* Understanding of construction tolerances
* Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents
* Understands Permit System and actively raises permits to work
* Good understanding of key contract documentation
* Demonstrable prior experience in Highways is required
