Job Description:
As a Mechanical Technician with a leading waste-to-energy facility, you will be responsible for executing reactive and PPM maintenance across all process, building, and site systems. This role requires a Mechanical Technician with a recognized apprenticeship and extensive experience in heavy industrial environments.
This company is a leader in waste-to-energy management, operating 30 sites globally and commissioning a new state-of-the-art site in Essex with a billion-pound investment. You will work in a rewarding role that challenges you technically and involves launching and maintaining the new site.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Fault finding, planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical machinery
* Delivering services within an IMS environment
* Executing planned and unplanned shutdown activities
* Working with a 'safe system' of work in a permit-regulated environment
* Supporting external maintenance service providers
Your profile:
* NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND with significant heavy industry experience
* Proven maintenance experience in complex operational environments (Oil & Gas, Recycling, Sewage, Cement, Petrochemical, Heavy Industry)
* Knowledge of Boilers/Furnaces and/or rotating equipment
* Experience with Cranes and Heavy Lifting
* Knowledge of SAP (desirable)
