The Priory Hospital Preston has established an excellent reputation for offering calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 38 service users. A new ward will be opening in Autumn 2024 for an additional 12 service users.
Job Advert Role Description
Due to the expansion of the hospital, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Ward Manager for our 16-bedded adult Acute unit.
Key accountabilities for the role include;
• Preferred experience working with an Acute setting
• Managing staffing ladders and staff roster
• Promoting and maintaining a professional working environment
• Ensuring a high standard of care at all times
• Providing leadership to staff in helping achieve unit objectives
• Ensure a high quality of patient care is provided.
The role holder will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with excellent communication skills ensuring effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team. Management qualification/experience and an up to date knowledge of regulatory requirements and outcomes is also required. Experience within an acute setting is preferred.
Hours of work will be 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday, however you will be required to cover shifts and work within the numbers as required.
