Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will oversee the financial operations and maintain the financial records of the business. With a strong background in financial management, accounting, and planning, the Finance Manager will also lead and develop the finance team.
Responsibilities
* Month end nominal and control account reconciliations
* Prepares and processes documentation related to accounts payable and receivable
* Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
* Prepare bank reconciliations
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
* Maintain running of invoice finance facility and prepare reconciliations each month
* Allocates expenditure to specified budget accounts
* Provide Managing Director with sales and purchasing information when requested
* Maintaining bookkeeping and office accounting
* Collecting payments and updating accounts payable and receivable records
* Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
* Recording and processing all financial and accounting practices, including profit and loss reports
* Review and file payroll documents and input journal entries into accounting software
* Maintain digital and physical financial records
* Process reimbursements
* Update accounting/inventory software with deliveries from suppliers
* Check delivery notes match purchase orders and invoices from suppliers
* Check Pro-Forma invoice payments are received so goods can be dispatched
Education
* At least AAT level 3 or equivalent
Knowledge/Experience
* Proficient in modern bookkeeping practices
* Strong working knowledge of Sage line 50 and Xero accounting software
* Good basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
