The team and the opportunity
EY’s Technology Strategy & Transformation team specializes in supporting clients on business and digital enablement through technology strategy, architecture, and advisory services. The team operates within a global and EMEIA network, providing insights and services that help executives derive business value from technology investments across strategy development to solution design and execution.
As an Enterprise Architect (Senior Manager), you will help clients solve business problems, capitalize on opportunities, and translate organizational strategy into an IT strategy that aligns with sustainable, agile, and adaptable solutions.
Your key responsibilities
Within Technology Strategy & Transformation, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary, high‑performing team of problem‑solvers, helping organisations tackle complex business issues from strategy to execution across technology solutions such as Manufacturing 4.0, IoT, consumer goods, healthcare, agri‑foods, and identity management.
* Assist clients with development and implementation of technology and digital strategies and delivery of Enterprise Architecture services and tools.
* Lead medium to large projects/workstreams, reporting directly to the client and acting as a reliable advisor.
* Plan, execute and deliver engagements, including technology transformations and related services.
* Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, and maintaining communication with team members and leadership on progress.
* Build strong internal relationships within EY Technology Consulting and across other service lines.
* Contribute to practice growth through development of relevant industry and technology thought‑leadership material.
* Coach and mentor team members and provide performance feedback.
* Ensure compliance with EY quality and risk‑management processes on projects and other interactions.
* Prepare bids/tenders and lead key elements of response.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
* Practical experience delivering technology services including Technology/Digital Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, System Implementation, and Agile Software Development.
* Subject‑Matter Expert (SME) proficiency in at least one Enterprise Architecture domain (Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Security, Integration).
* Leadership/management experience, including project management and team management.
Ideally, you will also have:
* Experience in industries/sectors such as Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Agri‑food, or Energy.
* Ability to identify client needs and reason logically and creatively to provide options and recommendations.
* Knowledge of business and technology requirements for scalable application architectures and recommendations for technical consistency, usability, security, and business value.
* Experience creating architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices that achieve business goals.
* Capacity to examine technology vision, opportunities, challenges, and emerging technologies.
* Knowledge and experience with software development frameworks/methodologies (Agile, DevOps, cloud‐based technologies such as Azure or AWS).
* Certifications such as TOGAF, Scrum, ITIL, PMP, Prince2, or domain‑specific vendor certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, etc.).
* Abstract thinking to connect technology concepts and solve business challenges.
* Ability to build and maintain business relationships with vendors and partners, and interface with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Proficient use of EA tools and productivity tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Strong written and verbal business communication skills when interacting with clients and team members.
