Job Description
AECOM's Water Team in Scotland is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the SR27 Enterprise, a multi‑billion‑pound programme delivering resilient water and wastewater infrastructure. The role provides an unparalleled opportunity to work on high‑impact projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to design excellence at scale.
Location: Scotland office with flexible hybrid working options.
Responsibilities
* Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
* Undertake design and review of electrical and ICA elements in wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, such as chemical dosing, pumping stations and sludge treatment units.
* Produce and review client deliverables, including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures.
* Liaise and collaborate with water and other discipline teams, including civil, electrical, process and mechanical engineers nationwide.
* Visit sites to conduct surveys and support liaison with clients, contractors and suppliers.
* Attend and contribute to design review meetings such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs and SWIFTS.

Qualifications
* A degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
* Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution such as IET.
* Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications and calculations with confidence and precision.
* Hands‑on experience delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater engineering projects.
