PK Education are currently recruiting Behaviour Mentors and SEMH Support Staff to work within specialist provisions and mainstream schools supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour.
These roles are ideal for individuals who have experience working in structured, disciplined or behaviour-focused environments and are looking to transfer their skills into education to positively impact young people’s lives.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:
Ex-Military / Armed Forces
Ex-Police Officers
Probation Officers
Youth Justice Workers
Prison Officers
Youth Workers
Sports Coaches
Residential Support Workers
Psychology or Criminology Graduates
Many of the pupils you will support require strong role models who can provide structure, consistency and positive behaviour support.
Your ability to build trust, maintain boundaries and de-escalate challenging situations will make a real difference in helping young people engage with education.
The Role
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
Working on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
Assisting pupils to regulate behaviour and remain engaged in learning
Acting as a positive role model and mentor
Supporting teaching staff in managing behaviour within the classroom
Helping pupils develop social skills, confidence and resilience

You may already have experience working with young people, or you may come from a structured professional background where behaviour management, resilience and leadership were key parts of your role.

Able to maintain boundaries and structure
Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
Resilient and patient
-Competitive rates of £100 - £120 pay per week (AWR Compliant)
