Do you want to use your specialist skills to make a real difference in people’s homes and communities? We’re looking for a dedicated Housing Occupational Therapist to join our Home Improvement Agency (HIA) – a service committed to helping residents live safely and independently at home.

What will you be doing?

* Advise on complex cases, housing options, and Disabled Facilities Grant recommendations.
* Evaluate properties for suitability, adaptations or rehousing.
* Work collaboratively with Housing Solutions, landlords, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
* Oversee and review adaptation cases using Mosaic and related systems.
* Support service development, policies and best practice in housing and adaptations.
* Supervise OT/AEO staff and support the development of apprentices or students.

About You

* A qualified Occupational Therapist (BSc OT or equivalent).
* Experienced in community OT practice and/or home adaptations (or able to demonstrate transferable skills).
* Skilled in functional assessment, problem‑solving and collaborative working.
* Confident in managing complex cases with creativity, sensitivity and professionalism.
* Knowledgeable about housing and social care legislation (e.g., Care Act, DFG criteria).
* An excellent communicator with strong organisational and recording skills.

Committed to person‑centred, strengths‑based practice and motivated to support residents to thrive in their own homes.

Join us in shaping accessible, safe and independent living for our community.

* Employee Assistance Programme: 24/7 access to support and counselling.
* Payment of professional membership fees (based on role requirements).

* Access ongoing CPD, supervision and professional development opportunities.
* Be part of a service that embodies our THRIVE values: Trust, Honesty, Responsibility, Inclusivity, Value and Empathy.
