Main Purpose of Role
Making deliveries and collections from suppliers, loading and unloading lorries with a forklift, maintaining the yard and vehicles.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are a general guide and will not cover all duties the job holder may be required to do. However, the job holder will not be asked to take on any responsibilities outside their level of experience or capability, without training or guidance, or any tasks which may pose a risk to the health and safety of the job holder, or others in the company.
· Be organised, keep yard clean and tidy, unload transport, load transport.
· Maintain Forklift trucks/Vans to include cleaning.
· Make deliveries and collections to and from suppliers.
· Work as part of a team and/or individually.
· Report any suspected issues to the appropriate person.
· Be aware of any health and safety issues and be prepared to act to prevent accidents and/or report any issues identified.
· Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification
· Clean Driving License.
· Forklift License (Preferred but not essential, training will be given).
· Ability to undertake repair work including minor building and decorating projects.
· Ability to undertake minor machine repairs under supervision.
· Respond quickly to maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are available.
Hours:
· Basic hours are 08.00 to 16.30 five days per week (40 hours)
· Overtime is subject to availability.
· 10-minute break at paid)
· 30-minute break at unpaid)
· Holiday 25 days plus statutory holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
