Do you have a passion for supporting young people in overcoming challenges? We are looking for compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistants for short-term roles in secondary special needs schools in Exeter. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact working within a large Trust on a full-time basis.
This trust caters to children across KS1-2 who have SEMH, Autism, and present challenging behaviour.
We are seeking individuals with strong support assistant skills, a willingness to learn, grow, and develop, and who are interested in a long-term contract at the school.
You will need a UK driving license and your own car that can be used for business purposes.
To work with GSL Education, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
* Possession of a UK driving license and access to a car will be prioritized.
At GSL Education, we offer competitive pay rates, bespoke service, and dedicated Consultants to support you in securing your role. Whether you are starting your career or seeking a better work-life balance, we are here to help. We have extensive experience in helping candidates gain relevant experience and training to become Specialist Support Staff, Newly Qualified Teachers, Fully Qualified Teachers, Education Psychologists, and even senior leadership roles.
Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, or a willingness to complete a safeguarding course. Successful applicants must pass all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service. For more information, contact Genevieve Currie at GSL Education.
