About the Role
At Connect Plus Services, we manage and maintain the strategic infrastructure of the M25 motorway, one of the busiest and most complex road networks in Europe. Working in partnership with National Highways, we play a critical role in keeping the network safe, operational, and efficient for millions of users every day.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Access Planner (Reactive) to join our team, supporting the coordination and delivery of urgent and defect-related access requirements across the network. Operating within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, you will ensure reactive works are prioritised effectively while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and network performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring urgent and defect-related access needs are prioritised and delivered in line with Connect Plus Services and National Highways standards. You will work closely with reactive maintenance teams to coordinate access, continuously monitoring live activities and adjusting plans where necessary to respond to changing priorities.
You will maintain accurate and up-to-date booking records, ensuring all access requests are logged, tracked, and auditable. A key part of the role involves promoting site-sharing between stakeholders and applicants to maximise efficiency and reduce disruption across the network.
You will also be responsible for providing regular updates and reports, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring all activities align with governance and compliance requirements. Managing large volumes of data will be central to your role, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain robust document control and audit trails.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a reactive and fast-moving environment. You will be IT‑qualified or highly computer-literate, with the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
You will have experience working within governance, compliance, and quality assurance processes, alongside strong document control and audit experience. An understanding of roadspace management and scheduling processes is important, as is proficiency in planning and scheduling systems.
Strong problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be confident in adapting to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and clear communication at all times.
