Overview
A unique opportunity has arisen for a senior manager to oversee the delivery of Child Health and Screening Services across NHSGGC. Reporting to the Head of Primary Care we are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and adaptable leader to join our team. It is an exciting time to join our service as we implement our first primary care strategy and work to support the delivery of several national systems including the new child health system for the population of NHSGGC.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of around 40 wte to deliver a large number of programmes in collaboration with primary and secondary care and Public Health to ensure the effective planning and performance management of all screening and childhood immunisation programmes, including call/recall systems compliant with national standards and guidelines.
* With a large, complex and varied programme this post is challenging but rewarding; demonstrate outstanding leadership and influencing skills. Contribute to development of services and national programmes to ensure they remain fit for purpose within growing demand and financial pressures.
* Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to support ongoing improvement to improve health outcomes for the population of NHSGGC while managing competing priorities for change and development and ensuring services remain safe and effective.
* Knowledge of child health and screening programmes and experience of managing immunisation programmes.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience as a Programme Manager or senior manager leading large multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across primary and secondary care and Public Health.
* Knowledge of child health, screening programmes and immunisation programme management.
* Ability to adapt to changing demand and financial pressures.
