This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, a well-established, innovative consultancy service, known for lending their skills and expertise to a variety of projects, primarily specialising in dewatering services. They are actively seeking a skilled, professional Hydrologist with extensive design experience within ground water and dewatering, who is willing to take on a number of challenging projects across the region. You will be based near the diverse, vibrant city of Leicester.

Responsibilities for the role of Hydrologist include:
7. Contributing to design projects at all stages of the process, from inception through to delivery
8. Carrying out groundwater impact assessments
9. Producing conceptual hydrological and hydrogeological models
10. Designing and assessing temporary/permanent dewatering systems
11. Generating numerical and analytical groundwater models, in support of prospective designs
12. Analysing groundwater-surface water interactions and impacts
13. Producing technical documents, including reports, method statements, and more
14. Gathering and interpreting site investigation data and pumping test results
15. Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Required skills and experience for the role of Hydrologist include:
16. First Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant subject area
17. Extensive experience in groundwater and de-watering design, in a UK-based consultancy or local authority setting
18. Considerable experience with the use of relevant software systems, e.g. MODFLOW, TUFLOW/Flood Modeller/HEC-RAS, SEEP/W, etc.
19. Demonstrable experience with GIS software (i.e., QGIS, ArcGIS)
20. Experience with the use of AutoCAD
21. Substantial experience of developing conceptual models
22. Proven experience of pumping test design and analysis
23. Demonstrable experience of assessing groundwater flow, drawdown, and settlement
24. Extensive experience in undertaking groundwater risk assessments
25. Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic and hydrogeological principles
26. Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
27. Highly-competent in numeracy, with a technical mindset
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Hydrologist include:
28. Higher qualification in a relevant discipline
29. Possess Chartered Status with a relevant Professional Body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, etc.), or actively working to attain this
30. Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
31. Have a keen understanding of the relevant UK legislation, regulations, and frameworks
