Join us at Barclays Business Banking as a Senior R&D Research Analyst, where you'll lead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will be part of our Cyber Fraud Fusion Center, delivering scalable services to disrupt and prevent upstream economic crime.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and manage fraud rules, models, and controls to optimize fraud detection strategies. Knowledge of rule creation within market-leading fraud tools is preferred.
2. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to assess and manage fraud detection tools.
3. Analyze large datasets, including internal and external intelligence, for cybercrime root cause analysis.
4. Understand malicious attack vectors such as Device Spoofing, Location Manipulation, and Account Takeover.
5. Utilize tools like AWS, Python, SQL databases, SAS, and Hadoop for data analysis.
Additional Skills:
* Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST and cyber-attack phases.
* Experience with analytical tools like SQL, SAS, Tableau, and Power BI.
* Ability to escalate risks using data visualization.
* Work closely with governance teams to ensure proper documentation and controls.
Role Location: Knutsford or Northampton
Purpose: Monitor and manage security controls to protect against cyber-attacks.

1. Managing security monitoring systems.
2. Identifying emerging threats and collaborating for industry knowledge.
3. Analyzing security logs and alerts.
4. Managing cyber security incidents and remediation.
