The Nancy Oldfield Trust is a registered charity which offers accessible boating and accommodation on the Norfolk Broads for visitors who are disabled and/or disadvantaged. Working from our office in Neatishead, 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9-4.30pm. This position will be the first point of contact for our visitors and their carers. The role demands excellent customer service, communication, organisational skills and an eye for detail. Our Receptionist/Administrator will be expected to report to the Centre Manager. They will support all colleagues in the efficient running of the Trust, who work together to maintain the excellent reputation we have built up over the last 40 years. Key Responsibilities: Greeting visitors to the Trust, ensuring that a friendly, caring and positive welcome is always made. Maintaining the signing in and out book, ensuring that all visitors are compliant. Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional manner, and direct accurate messages as necessary. Utilise our electronic booking system to make new, and/or amend existing activity/residential bookings, ensuring accurate records are always kept. Taking cash and electronic payments as required. Ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and that office supplies and merchandise are replenished as required. Support our volunteers by relaying and transferring information for their activity each day. Perform general administrative tasks such as inputting data, photocopying, scanning, and filing, ensuring that regularly used forms and leaflets are always available. To assist and support the Volunteers and Activities Manager and the Marketing, Events and Outreach Manager in their roles. Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and courier packages. Maintain compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements. To undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the Trust. To uphold the aims, ethos and reputation of the Trust at all times. Qualifications required A good level of general education Knowledge and Experience Experience of customer focussed reception duties desirable Knowledge of the voluntary sector would be an advantage Familiarity with disability/disadvantaged issues Skills Good written and numeracy skills Effective and confident communication skills – verbal and written Good computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft applications is essential Familiarity with website and social media use Understanding of equality and diversity issues in the workplace and in the provision of activities What we offer Annual salary of £23,660 Annual leave 25 days Pension Appointment subject to successful DBS check and 3 months’ probation Please email your application by clicking on the 'fast apply' button.
