Peripatetic Service Manager - South of England

Job Summary
Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost, helping them to achieve personal goals.
Main Duties
* Develop and deliver detailed plans for continued service developments in line with Brainkinds core aims and objectives, linked to the Strategic Plan, including managing budgets.
* Support existing Service Managers to meet quality requirements and cover their role when necessary.
* Provide professional leadership and management support, influencing staff practices and attitudes.
* Assume line management responsibilities for the team and lead clinicians, ensuring performance standards are met.
* Take overall responsibility for recruitment, employment and working practices, complying with Employment Law and contractual obligations, and providing induction, training and support.
* Participate as an active member of the Operations Group and, on occasion, take on additional defined responsibilities such as investigations, disciplinary/grievance hearings and management support to other services.
* Lead the multidisciplinary team in service review and development, ensuring professional standard reports are produced on time.
* Maintain strong interpersonal skills to keep the team motivated.
* Undertake other project and change activities as directed, balancing immediate needs with long‑term vision and engaging stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Essential: Nursing qualification with up to 5 years post‑qualification experience.
* QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent Social Care/Health qualification meeting regulatory requirements, or a commitment to work towards it.
* Proven track record of at least 5 years managing Supported Living Services, Homecare Agencies and Housing legislation and regulations.
* Ability to manage change and support staff teams to deliver continuous improvements.
* Experience managing budgets and financial systems.
* Ability to prioritise workload to meet specified deadlines.
* Ability to fulfil travelling requirements of the post, including attending training/meetings and occasional overnight stays.
