About the Company
Our client is a leading UK hard facing specialist and precision engineering manufacturer with a long-established history operating from a state-of-the-art facility in Sheffield's renowned engineering district. They provide high-precision components and bespoke engineering solutions, including hard facing, precision machining, welding, inspection, and turnkey manufacturing for critical applications across industries such as Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Marine, Defence, Power Generation, General Engineering, Rail and Aerospace.
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join a highly experienced engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the fabrication and welding of high-precision components, including hard facing and cladding work to exacting quality standards.
7.30am - 4pm Monday to Thursday
7.30am - 12pm Friday
Key Responsibilities
Carry out MIG and TIG welding to fabrication drawings and specifications.
Work on hard facing/cladding applications (PTA and other deposition processes preferred).
Fabricate, assemble, and weld components accurately and efficiently.
Interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and inspection requirements.
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.
Work collaboratively with production teams to meet daily and weekly targets.
Follow company and customer-specific welding procedure approvals and specifications (where applicable).
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Competent in MIG and TIG welding processes.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
Desirable:
Experience with PTA, hard facing/cladding, or specialised deposition techniques.
Previous exposure to precision engineered components for critical sectors.
Welding certification (PCN/CSWIP/SFI/NDT where applicable).
