About The Role
Nexperia aims to reach a $10b turnover by 2030 through innovative technologies, sustainable manufacturing, state-of-the-art facilities, and investing in our people. We are expanding our team of Production Assistants, who are vital in manufacturing high-tech semiconductor products. The role involves working a night shift pattern of 12-hour shifts, four days on and four days off. What Our Production Assistants Do
You will be part of a large team in a high-volume, high-tech wafer fabrication environment, following written instructions to operate sophisticated equipment in a clean room to produce silicon microchips used in everyday products like mobile phones, appliances, wearables, and electric vehicles. This role offers the opportunity to learn new technical skills in a fast-paced environment with excellent benefits and career growth prospects.
You Will
1. Work towards daily tasks with support from your team leader
2. Learn various workflows in your specialist area
3. Operate high-tech equipment to produce wafers efficiently
4. Follow production change proposals and adhere to cleanroom safety practices
5. Complete documentation and use FactoryWorks systems
6. Support colleagues in achieving shared goals
7. Build positive relationships with engineers and team members
What Our Production Assistants Need
Full training will be provided, but we seek individuals with:
Essential
* Ability to work 7am-7pm, 4 days on, 4 days off
* Good communication skills in English
* Methodical thinking and attention to detail
* Teamwork and proactive attitude
* Basic computer skills
* Excellent time management and attendance
* Ability to meet targets
* Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
Beneficial
* Experience in production or factory settings
* Cleanroom experience
* Mechanical or technical skills with machinery/tools
* Shift work experience
