Overview

This role is with a high profile commercial insurance broker. The candidate will be the No.2 claims position within the country, reporting to the Claims Director. The firm has grown rapidly and offers opportunity for progression as the claims operation develops with new client service offerings and potential office openings.

Base pay range: Direct message the job poster from Aston Charles Ltd. Generous salary (negotiable) plus bonus and benefits. This role is hybrid-working.

Senior title: Managing Director, Insurance & Financial Services Recruiter; Regional Claims Manager (Hybrid-Working); RJ-3162.

Location focus: primarily North with some travel to other locations as required. Expect in-office presence twice a week with autonomy in planning your diary.

Responsibilities

* Deal with complex and contentious insurance claims and oversee more straightforward losses for key clients
* Assist in investigating the nature of claims, keep clients updated on progress, and strive for fair and prompt settlements under policy terms
* Work with Account Executives and Account Directors to manage client relationships and provide ongoing consultative advice
* Hold regular claims review meetings; deliver presentations on loss prevention and case studies; collate claims MI; analyse trends to mitigate future losses
* Help shape the direction of the claims operation as the business grows
* Lead and manage a team of 4 claims staff; prior managerial experience is not essential but a genuine interest in developing others is important
* Maintain a credible presence as a company ambassador and manage relationships with varied stakeholders from boardroom to shop floor
* Work with detailed management information and produce regular reports
* Uphold flexible travel when required and coordinate with the broader claims team and client base


Qualifications & Experience

* Extensive experience within a commercial insurance claims environment with strong knowledge of major commercial covers
* Experience across broker, insurer, loss adjusting, or risk management environments considered
* Strong relationship management and communication skills, capable of working with a range of stakeholders
* Comfortable with detailed management information and reporting
