Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients at Westcroft House Surgery. The post holder works under indirect supervision of the practice nurse team leader and undertakes task and duties delegated by the practice nurse team leader or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.
Duties
* Undertake, record and follow guidelines for the tasks for which you have received appropriate training:
* Urinalysis and preparation of specimens for investigation by the pathology laboratories
* Measuring and recording following physiological measurements in routine presentations, and for pre medical checks:
* Blood Pressure
* Pulse Rate And Rhythm
* Temperature
* Height And Weight - Body Mass Index
* Visual Acuity
* Venepuncture
* Ecg
* New patient checks
* B12 & Influenza vaccinations
Requirements
* Previous experience required
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are advantageous.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
