About the Business We are recruiting for a Client Accountant to join a fantastic property business that is constantly doing well as the years go on. This role is really flexible, with a hybrid working policy that only requires you to come in twice a week. Main Duties: As a Client Accountant, your main duties include: * Prepare the service charge budget pack. * Produce monthly financial reporting packs, update client statements, and manage period closures—including VAT, where applicable. * Maintain and update year-end and budget data for property service charges; track actuals against budget and proactively address any shortfalls. * Complete service charge year-end audits in collaboration with property managers and external auditors. * Conduct quarterly reviews with the property and facilities managers to assess service charge expenditure versus budget. * Compile aged debtor reports and provide commentary on arrears. * Ensure compliance with RICS regulatory deadlines and manage both supplier and debtor ledgers. * Present reports at client meetings and serve as the primary contact for supplier and tenant enquiries. * Oversee and ensure timely, accurate updates to lease information in the database.
