Job Title: Gaming Supervisor (casual)
Location: Federation of Sports, Hull
Position Type: Part-Time
About Us
Federation of Sport is an innovative multi-concept venue blending a sports bar, esports lounge, event spaces and athletic experiences into one dynamic entertainment destination opening in Hull in 2025.
Job Overview:
As a Gaming Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all customer-facing areas of the venue — including the gaming zones, merchandise store, and reception. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations across these departments, support the team, and help deliver a top-tier guest experience. While previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, it's not essential — we'll provide full training. However, technical knowledge (especially around PCs and gaming equipment) will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Gaming Floor & Technology Supervision
* Supervise the day-to-day operations of esports PCs, consoles, and sports simulators.
* Perform basic troubleshooting on gaming equipment and escalate technical issues as needed.
* Set up and manage tournaments, game nights, and simulator bookings.
* Ensure gaming areas are clean, organized, and fully operational at all times.
* Support and guide guests with game setups and usage.
Merchandise Store Operations
* Oversee the operation of the in-house merchandise store, including tills and stock levels.
* Process customer purchases using the POS/till system accurately.
* Restock products and update displays to maintain an appealing retail space.
Reception & Booking Management
* Greet and check in guests with a professional and friendly approach.
* Handle bookings and enquiries in person, online, and over the phone.
* Manage schedules for gaming sessions, simulator bookings, and event reservations.
* Ensure smooth operation of the front desk and guest entry process.
Customer Service & Team Support
* Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the venue.
* Act as a point of contact for escalated guest queries or concerns.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in gaming, hospitality, retail, or front-of-house roles is a plus.
* Technical familiarity with PCs, gaming consoles, and basic troubleshooting is highly beneficial.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Organised, reliable, and able to multitask across different areas.
* A genuine interest in gaming, esports, and/or live sports.
* Confident using till systems, booking platforms, and basic office software.
* Able to work evenings, weekends, and during busy event periods.
What We Offer:
* Full training in gaming systems, retail operations, and booking software
* Staff discounts on merchandise, food, drinks, and event tickets
* Flexible working hours to suit your schedule
