This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking, innovative, and friendly team based in Reading. Reporting into the Managing Partner, you will work independently in an advisory role, ensuring best practice andpliance as required by the SRA.

Your new role
1. Perform risk assessments to understand the level, significance and scope of risk in the firm’s risk andpliance procedures and report on findings to the Managing Partner.
2. Keep under review and manage policies, systems and controls relating to risk andpliance, breaches and reporting material breaches to the SRA, Information.
3. Support the annual Lexcel accreditation process, the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for practice management and client care.
4. Advise the Managing Partner (as COLP) and the Partnership in implementing risk andpliance matters.
5. Be the first point of contact for the firm’s data protection enquiries and Subject Access Requests.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of appropriate regulations and internal policies and procedures, including money laundering regulations, General Data Protection Regulations, SRA Handbook, firm standards of client service, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, client due diligence, etc.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Experience working in a regulated environment within the professional services sector (Legal).
8. Excellentmunication and leadership skills with an ability to influence at all levels and build supportive relationships across the firm.
9. Works collaboratively with partners and the Managementmittee to resolve client conflicts to acceptable oues.
10. Maintains the highest professional standards to ensure the firm is not in a position of risk.
11. Good IT skills and knowledge are essential, together with excellent organisational skills.
12. Must be able to balancemercial andpliance risks to achieve positive oues.
13. The ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion and tact.
