Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our skilled production team in Gosfield. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding key structural components used in the manufacture of our premium car transporters.
Working from technical drawings and production schedules, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, durability, and safety. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established manufacturer known for innovation and excellence in automotive logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high-quality MIG welding on mild steel components (typically 6mm+).
* Fabricate assemblies and subframes in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Read and interpret technical drawings accurately to produce precise welds and assemblies.
* Work independently or as part of a team to meet daily build targets and deadlines.
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Maintain equipment, tools, and workspace in good condition.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.

Essential
* Proven MIG welding experience on steel fabrication.
* Minimum of 2 to 4+ years of welding experience in heavy steel fabrication
* Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Good team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
Desirable:
* Experience in all-position MIG welding.
* Background in large vehicle or heavy steel fabrication.
* Ability to work to tight tolerances and deadlines.
