You will be playing a crucial role in building this team, inspiring and collaborating in multi-matrix environments to increase HITs of drug discovery, striving to achieve greatness!
We are looking for an individual with extensive industry experience to provide unique solutions and strategic methods within the team they join.
Within this role, you will be optimizing and developing physics-based computational methods in their drug discovery programs, ensuring these methods are used effectively to accelerate positive results in identifying new drug candidates.
We are seeking a leader with expertise in computational physics, computational chemistry, and statistical mechanics, who can provide technical, insightful, and impactful strategies when managing a team of scientists.
Key responsibilities include:
* Mentoring and leading a team of scientists focused on physics-based computational methods
* Integrating strategies using free energy calculations and physics-based models into drug discovery pipelines
* Providing technical leadership in statistical mechanics, molecular dynamics, computational chemistry, and free energy
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as AI researchers, medicinal chemists, and computational chemists
As a leader, you will communicate scientific insights and provide recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring your team delivers high-quality results on time and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Additional skills required:
* Experience with machine learning applications in physics-based modelling
