About the role
The purpose of this role is to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare for a career as a psychological wellbeing practitioner by supporting the clinical team with a wide variety of tasks.
You will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Supporting patients accessing computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through written reviews and phone calls
Presenting webinars online and facilitating groups in person
Writing and sending referrals to specialist services
Assess and monitor risk to and from the patient and take safeguarding actions when needed
About you
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for helping people who is looking to start a career within NHS Talking Therapies.
You will need to be enthusiastic about supporting people with empathy and have a strong understanding of mental health. We especially value those with personal experience of mental health conditions, such as anxiety or depression.
We are looking for someone who is:
Confident delivering webinars online and facilitating groups in person
Self-reflective and responsive to feedback to develop skills
Capable of maintaining boundaries to manage own personal stress

The NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire service is provided in partnership by Solent Mind and the Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Psychological wellbeing practitioners are employed by Solent Mind to deliver low intensity support at step 2 of the stepped care model.
