Mechanical Engineer - North of England / South of Scotland - £40,000 – £45,000 + Overtime + Company vehicle
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well established and respected machinery business operating across the North of England and South of Scotland. This role involves the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of agricultural, construction and groundcare equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and reliably, both in the workshop and on customer sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing mechanical faults across a range of machinery
- Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections to manufacturer standards
- Preparing and installing new equipment for customers
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
- Providing a high level of customer service both on site and in the workshop
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements

The Candidate
- Experience in mechanical engineering, agricultural machinery, plant or similar
- Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and customer-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Relevant engineering qualification advantageous

- Salary £40,000 – £45,000 salary DOE
