Zanda is an executive search partner that works exclusively with high-growth start-ups to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VCs, founders, CEOs, and CFOs to successfully deliver key senior appointments.
Who’s the business
Zanda is partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed, D2C SaaS business based in London. With an ARR of £40 million, they have ambitious growth plans and are considering international expansion. They are now looking to hire their first Senior Commercial Finance Manager.
Reporting to the CFO, you will be critical in shaping the commercial strategy and working closely with the senior leadership team to drive visibility and support key decision-making. The business operates on a hybrid model, with 3 days a week in the office in Central London.
What experiences you will gain
* Reporting to the CFO and partnering with department heads
* Leading business partnering activities with marketing and strategy to align financial performance with strategic priorities
* Challenging assumptions and providing clear financial insights to influence acquisition, retention, and marketing strategies
* Producing visibility on key KPIs such as customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, and churn rate
* Developing relationships with marketing, data, and business development teams to drive strategic insights and influence pricing and discounts
* Providing scenario analysis on pricing and discount structures considering elasticity, churn, and competition
* Assessing customer profitability to improve performance
* Supporting the CFO with future fundraising, including models and data rooms
* Enhancing financial planning and performance tracking through financial models and KPI analysis
* Managing budget performance and monitoring marketing plan variances
* Identifying market opportunities for growth
* Providing financial leadership and communicating critical financial matters
