Are you a payroll professional ready to step into a fast-paced, rewarding role with one of the world’s leading luxury yacht manufacturers? At Princess Yachts, we’re recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join our dedicated PTC (People, Talent & Culture) team.
In this pivotal position, the Payroll Specialist will process payroll for our workforce of 2,500 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and top-tier service. The post holder will also play a key role in overseeing pensions, employee benefits, statutory reporting, and continuous process improvement—supporting both weekly and monthly payroll operations.
1. Accurately process payroll and respond to employee queries
2. Manage the payroll weekly and monthly reporting obligations
3. Manage pension contributions and payroll-related benefits
4. Handle starters, leavers, and maintain employee records
5. Completion of statutory and legal forms
6. Work with external agencies including HMRC, local authorities, and unions
7. Support internal audits and contribute to payroll-related projects
8. Drive efficiencies and improve payroll processes
9. Be a key partner to the wider PTC team in delivering improvement initiatives
10. Liaise with solicitors regarding wage details of employees involved in accidents
11. Crystal Reports management
12. Manage payroll benefit-in-kind set up, including managing the healthcare scheme, and life assurance policy.
13. Manage monthly employee benefits and salary sacrifice schemes
14. Manage reports required in relation to pension obligations.
Acting as an Ambassador for Princess Yachts, operating with integrity and drive appropriate to the Company’s values, to promote Princess as a market leader.
Person Specification:
1. Experience in payroll, ideally in a manufacturing environment
2. Payroll qualifications and project/change management experience are desirable
3. Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
4. Proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated
5. Strong interpersonal skills; accuracy, communication, effective time management and analytical skills are essential
6. Attention to accuracy and detail
7. Knowledge of Crystal Reports and payroll/pension legislation is a plus
