A local school in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team and provide personalised support to help students achieve their full potential. About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with additional needs, implementing personalised learning strategies, and assisting teachers in delivering high-quality education. This role allows you to make a meaningful contribution to the well-being and development of students in your care. Responsibilities: Support students in class by implementing personalised learning plans and interventions. Assist with behaviour management, providing guidance and encouragement. Create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes engagement and confidence. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities. Support students with personal care, hygiene, and other daily routines when necessary. Encourage independence, resilience, and social development through structured activities. Qualifications: Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Understanding of SEN, SEMH, or related support strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
