Salary: £40,000-£50,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London weighting may be applicable.

Job Introduction
Unscripted Commissioning includes genres such as Entertainment, Arts & Classical Music, Documentaries, Specialist Factual, Factual Entertainment & Events, and Daytime & Early Peak.
Within the Unscripted Business team, you will work with Unscripted Commissioners to deliver their commissioning strategy, managing genre budgets, idea development, commissioning processes, programme pricing, and strategic priorities, collaborating with BBC Studios and the wider Independent Production sector, supported by Business Affairs, Planning, and Finance teams.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Business, you will deliver a programming strategy for your genres, considering wider Business & Operations priorities. This includes advising on funding, supplier strategy, programme pricing, negotiations, development budgets, commissioning meetings, and coordinating related activities. You will manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure commissioning decisions align with BBC’s strategic priorities.
Are you the right candidate?
* Experience in broadcasting in a similar role, either in production or commissioning support.
* Project management skills to enhance organizational effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
* Proven ability to maintain constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* A passion for and experience in Unscripted programming.
* Ability to work independently, using initiative to resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
* Experience providing business management support in complex environments.
* Proficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
