Group Consolidation Accountant
This is a varied and demanding role - 10-month contract - working for a large organisation in which you will be working alongside all levels of stakeholders. The main purpose of the role is to drive the best-in-class financial reporting and regulatory reporting frameworks. Duties and responsibilities:
Support and liaise with the external audit team at year end and half year end.
Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Develop best practices and processes on all external reporting.
Provide ad-hoc technical finance advice to other areas of the business.
Management of various subsidiary companies - processing of journals and preparation of balance sheets reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting and preparation of statutory accounts.
Manage and participate in a number of ad hoc projects - liquidations, new company set-up, system and control review
Required Skills and Experience
Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
Strong technical background with experience of external financial reporting under IFRS including preparation of consolidated accounts.
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Experience of working in a large organisation that has complex reporting structures and can adapt to and contribute to consistent change.Rewards
