Contracts Manager – Southampton City Council
About the Role
You will be part of the busy Contracts & Commercial Services team, undertaking preparation and management of CDM notifiable projects of varying sizes, and responsible for the management and development of a team of in‑house trades under your direct control. As a manager you will assist and support senior managers in achieving corporate aims, goals and help perform a fast‑moving and dynamic department. The work is varied and requires a flexible approach to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis, so communication and customer focus are essential.
About You
Successful applicants must hold a full clean driving licence and will undergo a DBS check. We are looking for individuals with organisational, customer service, time‑management and physical skills.

Salary
£47,181 – £51,357, with the starting salary of £47,181 and annual progression through the salary bands.

Working Hours & Leave
You will work a 37‑hour week, with a basic leave entitlement of 27 days annual leave per year (excluding bank holidays) and an additional 12 days TOIL, giving a total balance of 39 days leave. The basic leave level increases to 30 days after 5 years of continuous service.
