We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager based in Milton Keynes to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.
Summary of the Finance Manager role
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Location: Milton Keynes 100% office-based
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
* Report to the parent company in Europe, with limited strategy & decision-making.
* Prepare and submit UK and Irish VAT returns.
* Manage customs account paperwork.
* Maintain general and sub-ledgers, accounts receivable, payable, and fixed asset records.
* Handle monthly payroll ledger.
* Liquidity planning.
* Coordinate the year-end audit process.
* Conduct monthly and annual profit and loss and balance sheet analysis.
* Manage a team of 2 staff members.
Requirements for a successful Finance Manager
* Bachelor's degree or full ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification.
* Experience with Irish intrasat & VAT is essential.
* Senior-level experience in finance or accounting, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
* Experience in the manufacturing/production/industrial sector is essential.
* Experience with profitability analysis, VAT returns, and import/export processes.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office 365 and ERP systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Management experience of a small team is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data control and report preparation.
