As a Bodyshop Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that customers' vehicles are fully and accurately assessed for repairs and damage to a high standard. You will carry out administrative duties and liaise with customers professionally and promptly. An average day as a Bodyshop Estimator…
* Work closely with the Bodyshop Manager, estimating vehicles requiring body repairs and paintwork to a high standard.
* Ensure estimates are produced according to Thatcham/Manufacturer methods and are profitable to repair.
* Liaise with Bodyshop Technicians for supplementary orders/parts on ongoing repairs.
* Obtain final authorization for completed repairs, liaising with insurance companies for approval and invoicing.
* Provide insurers with parts/subcontract details for audit purposes when required.
* Assist the Bodyshop Manager with daily operations of the Bodyshop.
About You…
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
* Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining calmness to overcome challenges.
* Experience in developing relationships with customers, third-party companies (such as insurance providers), and colleagues.
* Must be Audatex certified.
* Ideally, possess ATA/VDA certification, but not essential.
* Experience with Autoflow is advantageous but not required.
* Driven and determined to maintain a productive, profitable department, with the ability to work under pressure and achieve results through others.
* Passionate about your work, with a positive attitude that comes naturally.
