Key Responsibilities of Director of Operations:
Oversee day-to-day operations of major hotel departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen and Maintenance).
Coordinate and execute the preopening plan of the hotel
Ensure alignment with brand standards, SOPs, and guest service guidelines
Support the General Manager in executing the hotels business strategy, budgets and performance goals.
Lead operational meetings and ensure cross-departmental coordination and communication.
Drive guest satisfaction and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
Monitor guest feedback and resolve complex guest complaints and ensure recovery is delivered professionally.
Ensure service excellence across all guest touchpoints (arrival, stay, dining, departure)
Support operational budgeting, forecasting, GOP achievement, and cost controls.
Implement revenue-generating initiatives and optimise departmental profitability.
Control expenses through efficient labour scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and waste management.
Recruit, train, coach, and mentor department heads and frontline associates.
Foster a high-performance culture aligned with brand standards and Company
Oversee health & safety, food safety, licensing and other legal compliance.
Be an ambassador for sustainability and engage with the local community
About You
Proven track record of a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role, overseeing multiple departments in hospitality industry
Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and personalized experiences
Strong knowledge of hotel operations, service flow, guest journey, brand standards, and SOPs.
Ability to manage budgets, forecasting, payroll costs, P&L reviews, inventory control, and vendor coordination.
Deep understanding health & safety, food safety and other legal compliance.
Strong people management, delegation, and decision-making abilities.
Able to lead multi-departmental teams, motivate staff, and manage performance.
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and employee engagement.
Handles high-demand periods, guest issues, and hotel contingency plan with confidence
Results-driven, strategic thinker with operational attention to detail
A natural leader with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
