As they continue to grow, the company is actively focused on expanding its building services division, aiming to further enhance its reach and capabilities in the construction industry\n\nThe Project \n\nAs an experienced Joinery Supervisor with the initial opportunity to progress into a Site Manager position, you will play a key role overseeing all joinery-related activities on various residential, commercial and education projects across Leeds and Bradford.
You will be operating on tools whilst supervising joinery teams promptly, managing daily operations to maintain efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.\n\nRequirements \n\nFor this role it is desirable but not essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;\n\nSSSTS\nCSCS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;\n\nProven industry expertise with a track record of successfully supervising joinery works across various residential, commercial and education projects\nExtensive background within the industry with at least 2 years of experience working in a Joinery Supervisor position or similarAdditional skills;\n\nQuality control\nImpressive leadership and mentoring abilities\nCapacity to prioritise health and safety effectively\nStrong knowledge of construction laws and regulations\nA solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques\nKnowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to finishing tasks\nA wide understanding of joinery techniques, materials, tools, and construction methods\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a thorough meticulous eye for detail\nCompetent in maintaining accurate documentation of work progress, labor, and materials, and reporting to senior managementThe Role\n\nJob Title: Joinery Supervisor\nJob Type: Freelance\nProject: Various education, commercial & residential developments\nLocation: Leeds, West Yorkshire\nReporting to: Head of JoineryDuties\n\nReport and communicate regularly to the Head of Joinery\nParticipate in site meetings and deliver regular progress reports\nPromptly report any issues, delays, or scope changes to senior management\nOversee and coordinate day-to-day joinery operations on across various sites\nAssist in preparing handover documentation and as-built drawings if necessary\nMaintain accurate records of completed work, labour hours, and material consumption\nCarry out risk assessments and promote adherence to safe working practices throughout the site\nImplement and uphold health and safety regulations across the site to ensure a safe working environment\nCollaborate closely with Site Managers, Architects, and other trades to effectively coordinate joinery operations\nEnsure that tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project timelines, quality standards and site requirements\nTrack progress of joinery activities and proactively adjust work schedules, maintaining productivity and meeting project deadlines\nSupervise, and coordinate the activities of joiners, apprentices, and subcontractors overseeing efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship\nAssign tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively to optimise team performance and ensure smooth, efficient execution of joinery works\nDeliver hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing support to team members to enhance their skills to a high-quality standard\nConduct thorough inspections of completed joinery work to ensure accuracy, high-quality finishes, and full compliance with design specifications and drawings\nTroubleshoot and resolve challenges involving craftsmanship, materials, or building methods to maintain quality and project standards\nGuarantee that snagging and finishing operations are performed in strict accordance with established quality and precision standards \n\nThis is a freelance position with an excellent rate / salary on offer for the successful candidate.
