Bilfinger UK requires an onsite EC&I engineer to assist in delivering an ongoing M&E package in a nuclear environment near Reading.
Key Aims & Objectives
Support project managers to ensure outsourced EC&I design meets requirements. Ensure EC&I project scope is satisfied efficiently and effectively. Strict adherence to customer specifications and standards. Review issued design and process documents.
Role & Responsibilities
* Manage and outsource EC&I design and build project elements.
* Work alongside design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose and identify design solutions.
* Peer review of sub-contractor produced drawings and documentation against project specifications.
* Raise and manage technical queries through to completion.
* Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and suppliers, including the assessment and integration of new EC&I sub-contractors.
* Witness factory acceptance tests and project sign-offs.
* Support scheduling and tasking information to Lead Engineers and Project Managers to support project delivery.
Minimum Requirements
* Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar.
* ECS Card.
* Preferable experience in highly regulated industries.
* Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
* Strong understanding of all project life cycle phases.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Pragmatic approach to engineering challenges, working with electrical engineers to meet operational requirements.
* Proficiency with 2D drawing packages, preferably AutoCAD.
* Awareness of PLCs.
* Knowledge of electrical safety principles, such as the 18th Edition and BS EN 13849.
* Ability to interpret detailed technical specifications.
* Familiarity with relevant standards.
* Technical writing skills.
* Experience within an ISO 9001 environment (preferable).
* Good reporting and communication skills for informing the Engineering Leadership Team.
