Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be working with a successful and expanding business near Golborne who are looking to appoint a Credit Controller to their finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with credit control experience who enjoys taking ownership of their own ledger, building relationships with customers, and helping to drive improvements in cashflow.
What you'll be doing:
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are made on time
Proactively contacting customers by phone, email and letter to chase outstanding balances
Working with clients to resolve queries quickly and effectively, maintaining a professional relationship at all times
Accurately updating records and keeping systems maintained with the latest account information
Encouraging payment via Direct Debit where appropriate
Producing regular updates and reports for the finance team
Liaising with colleagues across the wider business to resolve any account discrepancies
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a credit control or similar collections based role is required
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a confident telephone manner
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable using finance systems
